Well the day Will left for El Salvador I met up with Liz and April to do lunch and Scrappy Shop... What a day! We went to Scrapbook Oasis as well as Scrappin in the Hills! So many goodies! This is the day I fell in love with Love, Elsie denim paper! The picture is of Liz and April at Corner Bakery...

So... I got ready for work this morning and I was wearing this really cute dress that Will picked out for me... I felt really confident and cute! I got to work and all the girls were telling me how nice I looked and that it was about time! So I am sitting at my desk and I get an IM from hr saying she needs to talk to me in her office... My boss had called the HR director and complained! WHAT??? Am I some scarey person or something? Are you for real! So I am pissed, go home and change and come back? I think not!!! I am sooo over office politics and people that think they are higher than thou! I think it is really sad that here I have been stuck in this rut of feeling like I am ugly and that I can't dress nice! to now I am starting to feel a lot more comfortable in my own skin... Now this... Oh well I will stand back up!!!! Thanks for listening to my rant....

Due to the outstanding response I have received on my custom hand made albums I have started a lil company! I am using Secret Scrapper albums and decorating the covers as well as pre-made layouts! Where have I been??????

Hello all my bloggin buddies!!!! I am so sorry that I have been MIA for a while it has been crazy around here! OK so I think I am going to start with my health...

A couple weeks ago Will found a lump on my neck... I went to the doctor right away and had a gizzilion blood tests done, an MRI, CT Scan and a biopsy... The results are all in now... I have a benign Thyroid Nodule, and a hyper active thyroid. At this stage they are not putting me on any medication but I have to go get poked every 3 months to see how the levels are... I am feeling better and I am glad that it is helping me with the weightloss... Speaking of weight loss, I have been doing Shanna's Weightloss Challenge, I will try to post the cards tonight!

I have been a Secret Scrapper Album Crazy Maker lately!!! Here are a couple I have done...

1. I hate wearing shoes... They bug me! If I have to go somewhere other than work then I wear flip flops!

2. I like to have my personal space... Unless invited, don't come in!

3. I WILL NOT spend more than 1/2 hour on 1 scrapbook page! There is no need for it! If I can't come up with an idea within 10-15 min I will move on and go back to it! I will not waste my creativity!

Housewarming

So this past weekend we had our housewarming... It was a lot of fun to see everyone... Sorry Liz, you are just a part of the family now so I forget that you don't know everyone yet... So we got so many nice things! Maxene got us the RED Kitchenaid! Mom I have already put the spices to use and I love how flat it is! I just absolutely love it! Liz I can't wait to make Matt a Baseball cake! Maybe this week? And we went to BB&B on Sunday to use our gift card! Oh how much fun was that!!!! We got a rice cooker, and lots of gadgets!!!! Plus some Pyrex too! Our wonderful gifts included; Cowboy Salt and Pepper Shakers, A cute basket of Summer stuff, a baking set, a kitchenaid hand mixer, a clock, & TUPPERWARE!!! Thanks Everyone that came by!

So... It is time to start scrappin hardcore again! Mom's craft room is almost done... So now we have a place to work... I got a lot of my stuff organized so that it will be easy to get to, if I would just set my mind to it! Oh well what can you do... Hopefully I will have stuff to post this weekend:)

Why are children cruel?

This morning when I got into work I couldn't help but read the newest developments in the Virgina Tech Massacre... It was very disturbing to read how this young man was bullied as a child... Now before I start let me state that I am not making any excuses or feel any empathy what so ever for this sick man!

I strongly believe that childhood bullying is a very serious problem in today's society! I can remember as a child I had a neighbor that thought he was "cooler" than I was... He thought his parents had more wealth and he tried to make my brother and I feel that he was better than us... This did not just affect me as a child but continues to affect me subconciously today! I have extreme resentment towards this A**hole! Who cares if you have a better name brand on your jeans or if you have the NEW Air Jordans... Or if I have a few more pounds on me than I should? Did that make me a bad kid? "NO" But how do you tell a child that? As a parent you can tell your children how special they are and how beautiful they are, but does it have as big of an impact as a peer telling them the opposite? I think not.. I can look back today and say "who gives a rat's Ass?" But truth be told... It hurt... It still hurts... Why? Why do children feel the need to point out imperfections of other children??? Maybe if for once we start teaching children to RESPECT each other, and to be KIND... It will prevent something like this happening... Instead of worrying so much about more security, and stricter gun laws, maybe we should be looking at the root where this type of behavior stems.... (Childhood)

This tragedy brings a tear to my eye... I think about the few kids that I went to school with that were bullied, I can see the pain in there eyes... No I don't think they could do something like this... But you never know... What do you say? How do you make them stop?

Yes... I know!!! I am spoiled! Or should I say Well taken care of!!!! This weekend Will scored some major points... I really want to get on our treadmill and start working out but I don't have any running shoes... So he went out and got me a pair of Nike Shox! I just LOVE them!!! While he was out he bought me some smell me goods from Bath and Body Works... and a book that I wanted! He also took me out shopping and I got 2 pairs of jeans (nothing fits since I went from a size 20 to a 15/16)!!! I also got a pink Angels jersey!

It is really nice to get spoiled every now and again!! :)

My old room is CLEAN and EMPTY!

So I finally finished cleaning out my old bedroom at my parents house... It went a lot smoother than I thought... Until I was standing at the door way looking at it empty and Will ask how long I had lived in it... I got all choked up and had to go downstairs when I answered 26 years... My parents had me in the bassinet in there room for all of 1 night the rest of my life has been in that room... I've been through a lot and the one place that I could go and be in my own lil sanctuary was my room... I sure hope those walls don't start talking to my mom when she converts it into her craft room... I could be in a lot of trouble! J/K! Anyways... It is done now! Thanks Will for all of your help I know I would have had a much harder time doing it alone! You kept my focus and I really appreciate it!

So the first half of our bowling season finished last week... We are in 1st place!!! Can you even believe it? I went from a 104 handicap to a 87 handicap... There is still more practice but for 3 months of bowling I think it is going very well! We play one of our biggest rivals tonight, so it is all about the FOCUSING! Andy is so serious! I have to laugh sometimes!

We started our Angels League on Thursday nights... (not as much fun as Monday nights) but that is okay, it is just for practice!

I think Andy is thinking he is turning pro... We just let him believe that! LOL!

Enough for now, I will let you know how it goes!

Just some thoughts...

Last night after a long heart to heart, I was just letting my thoughts come out on paper... Not about any one person but about my life in general... This morning when I went to work this is what I made of it...

Instead of making promises, deliver value. Instead of fighting for the chance to receive discarded scraps, work diligently to freely give big buckets of nourishing substance.
Rather than growing hoarse from shouting, grow wise from listening. When those around you are tripping all over their own arrogance and self-importance, have the confidence to live with genuine humility knowing that by learning from it you will become a better person.

Those who so desperately and endlessly brag about themselves quickly fade into a meaningless blur. Those who quietly and consistently perform are the ones who soon stand out from the crowd.

If you assume that people are stupid, and look upon them with disrespect, they will look at you in exactly the same way. When you seek to take advantage of others, you become ridiculously easy prey for those who will certainly take advantage of you.

The way to stand out is not by pushing others back. The way to stand out is by generously and sincerely leading others forward.

Expect the best of others, and respectfully give the best that you have. Choose to stand out, away from the pettiness and shortsighted greed, and you'll find a truly magnificent life.

Well, Today is the day! I am picking up the keys after work! I can't wait! Tomorrow Andy is helping us move everything out of Will's place and out of Mom and Dad's. This weekend is going to be all about unpacking and decorating! Wooo Hooo!

Well this past Sunday Will and I took a break from the packing and moving and went to Disneyland! It was HOT and crowded so we went on a few rides then shopped ALOT!!! And... He got me my Annual Pass! He is so sweet! I just love him!

To move that is... I am getting excited and nervous! Will started packing this week but I have done nothing... I seem to think that it is going to get up and pack it's self! I went out today and got our doormat! It is too "flip floppin" cute!!! We are going out shopping for a new fridge tomorrow! It is going to be fun!

Matt has his 2nd baseball game tomorrow! He is doing so well and just loves being on the team! Daddy is videoing every game and I am taking pictures so that he can make Matt a DVD at the end of the season!

The Weddings are over!

So the weddings are officially over!

For those of you that do not know my best friend got married in January and her sister got married in February... That was quite a challenge! Bridezilla X 2!! No... They were both really good! They were absolutely beautiful. I will post some pics from both! Now it is time to scrap, although I am loving the digital scrapbooks! you can use all kinds of embellishments, fonts, colors ect... It is soooo cool!!!
